Caprock Services Corporation, ("Caprock" or the "Company") headquartered in Houston, Texas, is a leading provider of satellite communications to the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico. Genesis Park, a venture capital fund based in Houston, initially engaged GulfStar to arrange senior and subordinated debt financing for the acquisition of the company from McCleodUSA, Inc. When Genesis Park’s original equity partner decided late in the process to forgo the transaction, GulfStar raised additional equity capital enabling the transaction to be completed.
